happiness, peace and perfection 2005-03-26, 12:09 a.m.
Humans. Are weird. We strive for perfection. Or perhaps a semblance of it. To satisfy this little stability that we try and tell ourselves is present. On a daily basis, we tell ourselves that we aren’t perfect, at the same time, telling other that they aren’t either. What then is perfection? Or are we in fact already perfect? I have searched for this answer, and perhaps have found it, in the one true person of Jesus Christ. We are all made perfectly. In a way, different from each other. Yet this diversity does not assume the role of a perimeter or benchmark for perfection. Rather than one sort of person being superior to another, it is as such that every diversity is perfect. This being said, does it mean that every one of us is perfect? Perfection is brought forth through the creator solely. We are all perfectly formed, perfectly made. The imperfections in our lives are brought about by sin. What we choose that makes us turn away from the light. This sin creates a mark, akin to that of a scratch on he face of a watch. Then only the Creator can forgive our sins, and start us on a new slate. That being said, if all of us are indeed perfect, then who are we to judge another person? Who are we to make another person unhappy, to degrade another. This would bring cause to a cycle, vicious by nature. Negative emotions, such as hatred, revenge and anger will be formed. When one pushes another, who in turn pushes another, what we undoubtedly have: a domino effect. This is why there is no peace in this world that we live in. why there is senseless discrimination in this world. Only when we realise that indeed we cannot judge. That indeed we are all perfectly made, can we truly love another. People search their whole lives foe happiness, and this is where is can be found. In making another person happy.
